CPTAUS is an Australian owner-operator company, established in 2023 by an experienced CPT rig operator – Sergey Skrobotov. We specialise in the high quality geotechnical In situ testing for the Engineering Professionals. With a depot in Melbourne, we offer our services Australia-wide.

Sergey began his career with one of the most respected CPT contracting companies in 2010. Since then, he has successfully delivered hundreds of projects across Australia and internationally. With over 15 years of hands-on field experience, we provide our clients with the highest level of service, where safety, quality, and integrity are paramount.
Our Equipment
Our unique, custom-build CPT rig on the chassis of Mercedes-Benz Unimog 2450L, provides unmatched off-road performance in its class. With six-wheel drive, differential locks on each axle and central tyre inflation system, we can access the most challenging sites. This remarkable machine has a 150kN push capacity during normal operation, and up to 200kN using external anchors or ballast. More info about exciting features of the rig can be found here.
Our testing equipment features the latest GeoMil digital systems, ensuring high accuracy and reliability. All equipment is regularly calibrated by the manufacturer to maintain optimal performance and compliance with industry standards. In addition to Cone Penetration Testing, we offer advanced in-situ testing methods, including Marchetti Dilatometer Test (DMT), Seismic Dilatometer Testing (SDMT/SPDMT), sampling and concrete coring services, providing clients with comprehensive and flexible ground investigation solutions.
